SAE International Book Named Gold Medal Winner of Coveted “IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award”

WARRENDALE, Pa. (June 3, 2022)SAE International is proud to announce that “Acoustical Materials: Solving the Challenge of Vehicle Noiseby Dr. Pranab Saha, had been recognized by the Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA) with the Gold Medal Award in the 34th annual IBPA Benjamin Franklin Award™ program’s Professional Reference category. Celebrating excellence in book editorial and design, the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Awards™ are administered by the IBPA, the largest book publishers association in the U.S. with more than 4,000 members.

This annual book award competition recognizes excellence in independent book publishing across 57 categories. This year's awards competition, for books with a copyright date of 2021, garnered more than 1,900 entries – the most since 2008. IBPA received assistance in administering the program from 171 book publishing professionals including librarians, bookstore owners, reviewers, designers, publicity managers, and editors.

Acoustical Materials represents more than 40 years of experience by Dr. Pranab Saha who is recognized worldwide as an authority on automotive noise, body interior systems and sound package materials. Acoustical Materials provides essential information on the basics of sound, vehicle noise source, measurement, sound perception of vehicle passengers, and ultimately, solving noise challenges using sound package materials.
