“Sustainability: The New Frontier for Innovation” the Focus of SAE International’s® COMVEC 2023

On-highway, Off-highway and Defense Sector Experts to Address Leading Commercial Vehicle Industry Topics Sept. 19-21, 2023

WARRENDALE, Pa. (Aug. 1, 2023)SAE International®’s COMVEC™ is the leading commercial vehicle (CV) forum in North America where CV experts from on-highway, off-highway and defense sectors collaborate to address sustainability-driven technology and regulations shaping industry’s future. Industry executives will discuss topics such as diversified powertrains, safety systems, autonomy, connectivity, aerodynamics, charging strategies, connected digital engineering, and the future of commercial vehicle transportation Sept. 19-21, 2023, at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center in the Chicago suburb of Schaumburg, Ill.

Robert Wagner Ph.D., division director, buildings and transportation science, energy science and technology directorate, Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and Jill K. Sanchez, director, sustainability, Deere & Company, will share industry insight during their industry keynote addresses.

The executive roundtable session “Innovation, Exploration, Disruption, and the Next Big Thing” features experts from Robert Bosch LLC, Kubota North America, John Deere ISG, ABCG, Univ. of California-Berkeley and Vinnova. Panelists will discuss innovation and technology trends to solve customer pain points and remain relevant in the commercial vehicle sector.

Executives from Daimler Trucks North America LLC, the Department of Energy, Cummins Inc., CNH Industrial, and Virginia Tech. will participate in the “Smart Engineering for Sustainability” executive roundtable session where they will share insight on a carbon-neutral economy including the overall product life cycle of new technologies, including the product design, manufacturing and supply chain processes.

Additional sessions bring leading experts together to discuss advanced CV technologies including renewable fuels, carbon neutrality, heavy-duty fuel cells, charging strategies, connectivity, simulation-based product development, and additional insight into the latest tech and trends impacting the CV industry.
