Department of Defense Maintenance Symposium Focuses on “Cultivating Global Integrated Sustainment in a Contested Environment”

The Maintenance Symposium is the Only DoD Event Solely Focused Exclusively on the Maintenance of Weapon Systems and Equipment

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Oct. 11, 2023) – The Department of Defense (DoD) Maintenance Symposium, along with SAE International’s co-located Defense Maintenance and Logistics Exhibition, is the only DoD event conducted by the Office of the Secretary of Defense solely focused on the maintenance of weapon systems and equipment.  The Symposium will be held at the San Diego Convention Center in San Diego, California, December 18-21, 2023.  It is the premier forum where the country’s greatest maintenance and logistics minds exchange ideas and discuss the pacing national security threats to the sustainment enterprise.

Panels will discuss sustainment topics critical to homeland defense and securing America’s interest around the globe including organic industrial base resiliency, sustainment strategies for global integrated deterrence, data as the linchpin for weapon system and equipment sustainment, and much more.  Additional special events include:

  • The annual Secretary of Defense Maintenance Awards ceremony
  • The second annual DoD Weapon Systems Software Summit
  • Maintenance Innovation Challenge
  • Tours of the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest and USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN

More than 2,000 military, government, industry, and academia involved in DoD maintenance and sustainment are expected to attend this year’s Symposium.  To learn more and register, visit Http://
