IAEG Releases a New PFAS List for the Aerospace and Defense Industry

To keep up with the demands of increasingly complex, global chemical substance regulatory requirements, aerospace and defense (AD) industry companies must continue to obtain and report product-related substance data. The International Aerospace Environmental Group® (IAEG) is releasing a per- and polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) list (IAEG-PL- EXCEL Download) to identify those in active use in the industry.

The IAEG-PL is a list of PFAS that focuses on those identified to be in active use and may be presented in the AD industry products and the materials required to maintain, repair or overhaul those products. This new list is also intended to be used in substance declarations and support AD supply chain efforts.

The IAEG-PL is available on the IAEG website at http://www.iaeg.com/chemicalrpt/addsl/ for voluntary use by members of the AD industry and its associated supply chain.

The IAEG-PL was developed through the collaborative efforts of IAEG member companies, representing a cross-section of the industry, including AD product manufacturers and component suppliers, as well as solution providers and service contractors.

IAEG® (www.iaeg.com) is a non-profit organization of global aerospace and defense companies created to collaborate on and share innovative environmental solutions for the industry. The group works to promote the development of voluntary consensus standards and provide accessible solutions for key environmental issues.
