The SAE Fellow Membership designation is awarded to an elite group of professionals in the automotive, commercial vehicle, and aerospace industries who have made a significant impact on mobility through leadership, research, publishing, innovation, and volunteering.
Established in 1975, the grade of Fellow is administered by the SAE Fellows Committee.Election to Fellow is an exceptional professional distinction bestowed to a class of approximately 20 SAE Members each year.
Qualifications Needed to Apply for SAE Fellowship

Nominee must be a current SAE Member.

Nominee must have either 10+ years SAE membership service or 2 years of SAE membership service and 10+ years of volunteer service through SAE (ex. technical or standards committee, authoring a technical paper, serving as an Industrial Lecturer, etc.)

Nominator must be current SAE Member or SAE Fellow
