Episode 99 - History's "Goosebump Moments" Inspire Tomorrow's Innovations

The Henry Ford is a lot of things. A museum of American innovation near Detroit. An Emmy-winning TV show seen in 60 countries. An invention competition striving to reach a million students a year. Stories from the past that inspire innovation for the future.

Its transportation-related, hands-on exhibits include iconic symbols of social, cultural, and commercial transformation. The Wright Brothers’ workshop. Model Ts and autonomous vehicles. The bus where Rosa Parks changed the world.

These people, places, and ideas create “goosebump moments” that inspire the next generation to conceive and achieve big dreams, says Patricia Mooradian, President & CEO of The Henry Ford.

On this episode of SAE Tomorrow Today, Mooradian and Matt Anderson, Curator of Transportation for The Henry Ford, tell stories of remarkable innovations from the past that inspire and shape our vision of what’s possible in the future.
