The SAE International Journal of Connected and Automated Vehicles furthers state-of-the-art engineering research by publishing peer-reviewed scientific articles that showcase strong theoretical and empirical contributions and findings to the body of engineering knowledge surrounding various facets of the lifecycle treatment of connected and automated vehicles with an emphasis on the system perspective.

Our roadways must be able to communicate safety and mobility information with vehicles and vulnerable road users. This special issue on Infrastructure Connectivity is meant to offer timely information to transportation organizations and professionals as the industry moves toward full deployment of V2X technology. The six articles in this special issue cover a range of topics from more high-level guidance to detailed technical studies.
