Overall Design Methodology for Power Electronics Converters 2001-01-3342
The purpose of this paper is to present a new methodology to design power electronics equipments. The main idea is to take simultaneously into account all the physical phenomena involved in the converter design. This study is the result of a collaboration between PSA PEUGEOT CITROËN and the LEG (Laboratoire d'Electrotechnique de Grenoble). The difficulty of this work consists in evolving simple (easy) but fairly accurate analytical models for the different physical phenomena. This tool should permit to design a non insulated Switched Mode Power Supply (S.M.P.S.) under several constraints (E.M.C. standards, losses, …) with an overall volume optimization.
