Forming of Double Blanks with Compressed Medium 2002-01-0792
The double blank hydroforming technology (DBH) without welding the blanks before forming, represents a good alternative forming technology to conventional deep drawing. In the following paper, the idea and the approach to realize an engine bonnet by this innovative technology will be illustrated. Furthermore, the results of these investigations will be discussed.
