Numerical Simulation of a Car Flow Field with Cartesian Grid Euler Method 2002-01-2044
A three-dimensional Euler method is described for numerical simulation of flow field of arbitrary configurations. Multi-grid with Cartesian grids and local refinement is applied, which overcomes the difficulty of complicated grid generation. The correct boundary condition is an important factor for this approach. Comparing the simulated results with the test data of the wind tunnel has validated the accuracy of the proposed algorithm.
