Quality Control Points (Amazon Project Approach) 2002-01-3540
Each productive area in the Amazon Complex (Ford or Full Service Suppliers) is divided into zones, and every zone has one or more “Control Points”. The main objective of the “Control Points” is to ensure no product with quality concerns leaves the zone.
Other objectives are: to have a real time data feedback to base departments and improve employee awareness and visibility of quality concerns and consequently reduce reworks.
The Control Point (CP) is a containment tool owned and driven by the workgroups.
