Fuel Cells at General Motors 2002-21-0072

GM’s assessment is that fuel cell vehicles running on hydrogen from renewable energy sources will be the future transportation mode of choice to meet both sustainable mobility and customer needs. In addition, GM has extended its fuel cell development to non-automotive applications. To achieve its goals, GM has built up strategic alliances with leading companies in the fuel cell and hydrogen industries. However, a global hydrogen economy cannot be developed without the help of key stakeholders to include governments and energy companies. This presentation will reflect the current status of GM’s fuel cell program including stack and fuel processor development, automotive and non-automotive applications, and product introduction scenarios.
