Exit Burr Reduction 2003-01-2949

Manufacturing was spending several hours per day reworking assemblies riveted on conventional riveters. Exit burrs were formed around the driven rivet butt (Figure 1) that had to be removed in order to accept the assembly prior to moving to the next station.
