Development of the Body Mounting Directives on Chassis for Bus in Internet 2003-01-3595

Because of its unfinished characteristics, bus chassis need to be completed by other companies by a body building process, so that it can develop its main activity: the people transportation. In order to guarantee that the original characteristics remain as designed, it is published by DaimlerChrysler do Brasil (DCBR) a manual, which prescribes the way that the chassis can or must be handled during the body building process.
The previous version of this manual was provided to the body builders through a printed media, which carries problems, such as: publishing, updating, printing, and delivering to all users. In addition, specific information was difficult to be found as a consequence of its literary characteristics.
On the available technologies, it was developed a system managed by a database and using ASP technology in Internet. As a result, it was possible to create a database which contains all the manual's users data, assuring that the correct information flows to the correct one.
With this new methodology, it was reached the target to improve the quality of the information provided to the body builders, assuring that the final product quality and its excellence remains to the customer.
