Model Specification, Calibration and Kinematic Fitting in Optical Motion Capture 2004-01-2154
The many and varied approaches to human movement modelling can often be disparate, with both underlying models and algorithms being implemented in many different ways at different institutions and in different industries.
This paper proposes a set of modelling paradigms that are intended to address the lack of integrated solutions to the modelling process. This includes a standardized, flexible and powerful language for biomechanical models, a generic model optimisation process and advanced inverse kinematics algorithms that are particularly suited to human movement.
