Uninterruptible/Rapid Power Transfer for Critical AC Buses 2004-01-3157

Normal power interruptions on aircraft electrical systems cause myriad problems in modern cockpits, ranging from excessive workload on the crew to equipment anomalies and even malfunctions that affect mission readiness. Power interruptions can cause sensitive electronic equipment, from mission equipment computers to navigational avionics, to drop off-line, requiring rebooting and resetting. This paper describes a qualified, production-released power switch that ensures a dedicated electrical bus for sensitive electronics.
