Advanced Cost Effective Catalyst Technology for Emission Control of Two Wheelers 2008-36-0267
Catalytic abatement of emission from four wheelers and two wheelers is increasingly becoming popular nowadays with the regulation becoming increasingly stringent and the market growth gaining momentum. Previous metals (Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium) are the major components in the catalytic emission control device in terms of their overall contribution to the cost. With the price of Rhodium increasing drastically, the current research efforts are mostly focused on optimization of Rhodium loading in the catalyst.
The present Study deals with the design of the cost effective tri-metal catalyst as a better substitute for conventional Pt/Rh catalyst. A detailed analysis of catalyst performance in the dynamic test cell will be discussed.
