The present investigation deals with the microstructural and mechanical properties of pure aluminium Graphene Nano platelets (GNP’s) composites. The contents of GNP’s varied from 2.5 to 4.5 wt. % in pure aluminium matrix. The composites fabrication was done through stir casting technique, and the investigations revealed that Pure Al -3.0 % GNP’s composite displayed better mechanical properties in comparison to other composites for tensile strength, hardness and impact strength and Pure Al- 4.5 % GNP’s yields better elastic property compare to all other composites. The SEM and Fractography and XRD analysis reveals and confirms that there is a uniform distribution of GNP’s in the pure aluminium matrix and also shows that low porosity which leads to enhance the mechanical properties.
