Two Phase Heavy Truck Acceleration Model 2019-01-0411
There are several papers published over the past decade regarding the acceleration of heavy trucks in different loading configurations with different drivetrains under differing conditions. The papers provide a rich data set that measures the speed, distance and time of the vehicles and present the data in tabular or graphical form. Although the data can be useful, it can be challenging to pour through all the data to determine the right data set for your specific application. As of the date of this publication, there are approximately 11 papers with a total of 263 tests performed spanning many years. This paper attempts to review all the available published literature and to summarize all the different configurations and provide a comprehensive list of accelerations for different configurations.
