Simulation analysis and optimization on wind noise of an SUV 2019-01-0654
Noise problem is an important factor affecting automobile ride comfort, especially when driving at high speed, aerodynamic noise is the main noise source in all kinds of noise, so the research on automobile interior aerodynamic noise is particularly important. In order to study the aerodynamic noise characteristic of automobile interior，In the wind tunnel laboratory of Jilin University, a noise test experiment is carried out on an SUV in full closed state, Meanwhile the application of fluid and acoustic software (Star ccm+, Va-one) simulation analysis is carried out on the same condition. By comparing the results of Sound Pressure Level (SPL) curve and Articulation Index (AI) of the driver's head obtained by testing and calculation, it is found that the simulation and experimental test results are in good agreement, especially in the middle and high frequency band, which verifies the accuracy and feasibility of the simulation method. The factors influencing the aerodynamic noise level are found out by analyzing the sound pressure distribution on the surface of the car body. On this basis, SEA simulation method is continued to be applied to simulate the size of the rearview mirror handle opening of the vehicle at the Angle of 0 yaw and at 15 degree Angle of yaw, whether there are decorative strips , the shape of the decorative strip and the width of the windward face at the connection between A pillar and the front windshield. The analysis results show that the optimization under different working conditions can reduce the vehicle noise level to different degrees, achieve the expected effect, effectively improve the vehicle aerodynamic noise performance, and provide certain guidance and improvement direction for the future development of new vehicles.
