Numeric study on torsional characteristics of dual mass flywheel with circumferential arc spring 2019-01-0934
In this paper, for the sake of studying the torsional characteristics of DMF, a dual mass flywheel with circumstance arc spring (DMF-CS) is taken as the research subject. Firstly, According to lumped-mass-spring model, a multi-degree of freedom torsional vibration model of DMF-CS is established, in which takes the mutual conversion of dry friction and viscous friction into consideration, and the friction damping force caused by sealing elements between the primary and secondary flywheel is also included. Then, the overall and partial torsion characteristics of dual mass flywheel are obtained through numerical analysis. The results show that the DMF-CS exhibits varied nonlinear hysteresis torsional characteristics because of damping force, and its torsional stiffness and damping characteristics are affected by flywheel speed, transmitted torque, amplitude and frequency of the fluctuating torque. It is more likely to show the damping characteristic of dry friction at low frequency and viscous friction at high frequency, and the adhered-slip phenomenon occurs in the first condition.
