Methodology to Performance Verification of Close Gear Ratios for SUV. 2019-01-1300
In automotive world, SUV demands more powerful, high pickup as well as best acceleration performance and study reaches to close gear ratio, this paper presents the gear ratios performance (Torque and Acceleration) in terms of analysis of close vs. wide for manual transaxle (250 Nm torque capacity) having centre distance of 85 mm.
The gear performance and analysis test has been carried out (Dynamic Condition) to achieve good performance in terms of drivability (speed, torque, gradabeality) and their results are compared with theoretical calculations.
For Validation of each gear ration’s performance has analyzed through RLDA and correlated their results with output shaft torque values.
The close ratios selection has been done by using calculation and comparison, similarly developed performance prediction excel sheet, results are tabulated and finally represents through graph.
