The development of the low frequency noise localization method for the automotive product 2019-01-1539

I am now developing a new noise localization method, ‘Double nearfield acoustic holography (DNAH) method.’ This method aims for automotive noise source localization of the low frequency noise around 100Hz. Formerly, I presented the experimental results of speaker tests with laboratory environment. It shows the better preciseness compared with the conventional nearfield acoustic holography method for low frequency noise sources. In this paper, the experimental result of low frequency noise localization for a motor scooter using DNAH method will be presented. As an example of automotive product, a 50cc scooter’s low frequency noise will be measured by DNAH method and conventional holography method. The experimental result will be compared with the results of conventional holography method. By this experiments, it will be proved that the developing DNAH method can detect the low frequency noise source location of automotive products
