The current aeronautical manufacturing sector is characterized by the high level of competence and the required requirement in its production processes, based on the objectives of profitability and safety (airworthiness). In recent years, there is a real revolution in the sector, where the most advanced tools for the organization and optimization of production are given priority, supported by the latest massively used techniques of automatic data collection. , their organized storage and their analytical classification. Metrology plays a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the information generated in these productive cycles. The provision of an analytical model of flexible measurement systems, capable and easily adaptable to the dynamics of the company, is presented as one of the pillars in which this new conception of production is based. At the Airbus plant in Puerto Real, and in collaboration with SAICA and the University of Cadiz, it has been developed a management tool supported by an online Web application, which allows the analysis of all the information generated with respect to the behavior of the calibration measurements. The Bayesian model design combines this historical information with the latest data, with the idea of inferring the behavior of these results against established requirements, and providing a prescriptive analysis of equipment performance; This favors the optimization of instrument management while reducing the risk of using non-compliant equipment in the production processes of the most modern aircraft on the civil aviation market. This communication aims at exposing the fundamental and particular aspects which led to the development of this tool and the advantages which are obtained thanks to its practical application.
