Analysis of e-Bicycle Users and Customers from Maharashtra: A Survey 2022-01-5031
High initial cost leads to less adoption of e-bicycles in India. It can be overcome by offering affordable e-transportation for rural customers who desire an economic e-bicycle for short-range mobility. In this study, a questionnaire-type survey is conducted to analyze existing users and probable customers of e-bicycle in Maharashtra. It reveals a usual expectation from rural areas that e-bicycle must ease short-range rides. School students are most interested users for e-bicycles and prefer retrofitted e-bicycles over costly branded ones. The present analysis forms an asset for the function orientation of e-bicycles and policy-making in Maharashtra.
