Active Vibration Control of Motor Driven Power Steering for Reduction of Interior Noise 2023-01-1043
This study presents an active vibration control (AVC) technology to attenuate the vibration of subframe which is transfer path of interior noise and is due to transmission to vehicle body of the vibration caused by the operation of R-MDPS. AVC technology has been used to dramatic reduction of engine noise in automotive field. Digital adaptive signal processing and the secondary actuator are two key factors in the AVC technology. In this study a piezo actuator (PA) was used for the isolation of vibrations of R-MDPS. PA generates a small displacement but has high speed response. Displacement generated by the vibration of R-MDPS is small but major frequency of vibration is high. AVC system developed in this study was successfully applied to the reduction of vibration generated by R-MDPS.
