Dynamic Fuel System Simulator for Automatic Trouble Shooting 640208

The refinement of turbine engine fuel controls to include more control functions performed more accurately has brought about a need for a stationary test facility that will simulate the fuel requirements of an engine under actual operating conditions. Vickers undertook this investigation several years ago, to determine the feasibility of a universal type jet engine simulator for the calibration of fuel control units. As a result of these studies, the advantages and practical application of the proposed simulating device became readily apparent and Vickers has developed a simulator embodying the features outlined in this report.
