Development of Suction Line Filtration Systems for Farm and Light Industrial Tractors 650670

Suction line filtration systems have been developed for tractors which use gear type hydraulic pumps. The seven major areas considered were pressure drop, efficiency, capacity, structural strength, bypass valve design, element change interval, and contamination level. Each area is discussed and illustrated with photographs, curves, and charts. We believe suction line filtration is best because the entire hydraulic system is better protected.
