Photogrammetry and Computers for Numerical Control 660355

Photogrammetry as a measuring technique for practical application in the automotive field shows great promise. The potential of this technique in order to establish an error-free, geometrically defined, spatial mathematical automobile car body formated for subsequent use in an electronic computer program is described. The major problems encountered in the development of this system for the automotive application intended have been overcome to a large extent, and future studies are continuing to effect further improvements with regard to achieving increased reliability and flexibility and higher production rates.
