A successful approach to reducing light aircraft cost has been realized by American Corp. in the development of the two-place Yankee. Emphasis is placed on the problems and solutions derived from this development which provided the path for success of this project.
The Yankee is the first general aviation aircraft to use adhesive bonding as its primary structural fastener.
