Reliability and Maintainability from an Airline Standpoint - ATA Reliability & Maintainability Subcommittee 700326
An Air Transport Association Reliability and Maintainability Subcommittee has been formed to develop and nurture R & M concepts within the airline industry. The subcommittee summarizes its views concerning the relationship of the designer to R & M. Some basic information is provided covering the airline operating environment. Specifically, the importance of the need for a better balance between R & M and other design parameters is emphasized. Data are provided on the cost impact of poor reliability and maintainability.
