Design and Application of a Crawler Spring-Applied Safety Brake 730431
This paper describes an integral spring-actuated safety brake system in a family of production crawler steering transmissions. The design features and performance advantages of the brake mechanism and control system are discussed. The reaction of the safety brake system during specific operating situations is also discussed.
