Shielded Arc Welding of Some Aluminum Sheet Alloys 750476

This paper will concentrate on one area of aluminum alloy joining-shielded arc welding. This will often be the process of choice for fabricating structural components from multiple sub-parts, attaching some permanent brackets and reinforcements, for closing designed seams in drawn parts where severe local forming requirements exceed material capabilities, and for in-process repair of sheet tears and splits.
