Super High Brightness FIPS under Direct Battery Drive
This paper discribes about the brightness improvement of florescent indicator panel (FIP) for automotive application.
The brightness improvement factors are analyzed and discussed about the possibility to get high brightness under direct car battery drive.
Using with this approach, new developed car clock FIP is discribed. Its brightness is 1100 ft.L at 12 V operation while old FIP has brightness of 400 ft.L.
Evaluation data shows this new bright FIP has same quality level as one of currently automotive FIP.
This also shows the possibility the FIP operation under TTL level for common usage.
