Design, Fabrication and Testing of an Experimental Alpha Silicon CarbideTurbocharger Rotor 810523
A turbine wheel has been designed to investigate the application of ceramic materials to automotive turbochargers. Stress calculations for the ceramic rotor have been carried out. Sintered Alpha Silicon Carbide wheels have been fabricated by injection molding and preliminary testing has been completed.
