Binocular Camera for Cockpit Visibility of General Aviation Aircraft 810628
This paper will include a history of cockpit visibility studies and requirements with regard to aircraft safety, human factors, collision avoidance, and accident investigations. The Federal Aviation Administration's development of the original “Binocular Camera” will be reviewed. A new and improved camera is being developed, and the technical details will be discussed emphasizing its improvements, applications, and uses in the research, development, and operations of general aviation aircraft.
