High Temperature Engine Control Electronics 811074

Integrated injection logic (I2L) has been shown to be operable at temperatures to 300° C. Thus, I2L can be used in the digital control mounted on aircraft engines, where it is subjected to high temperatures and severe vibration. This paper discusses the design of I2L circuits for such high temperature applications. It pays particular attention to gate design, to the patterns of interconnection, and to the metallization system employed. It also describes a data input chip for an engine control computer, which has been designed for high temperature applications.
