Information Transfer and the Changing Role of the Pilot 821413
This paper discusses information transfer as it relates to the man-machine interface of future air transports. The term “information transfer” is defined and related to actual incidents and accidents. Finally, a course of action is proposed to design appropriate roles for the crew and automatics so that optimum information transfer takes place.
