A Portable Springback Tester for In-Plant Determination of the Strength of Sheet Steels 830238
A hand tool that uses springback to measure the strength of sheet steels to within ± 10 ksi is described. The device should be useful in stamping and fabricating plants that do not have tensile test equipment to prevent mild steels from being mistakenly formed into critical high strength parts.
