The PVC, or vinyl, industry will continue to be an aggressive materials supplier to the automotive industry. Vinyl has played a substantial role in the industry for nearly 40 years. It has provided interior beauty, durabibility and utility. Vinyl's weather-ability and corrosion resistance have aided in protective exterior applications. Advances in vinyl technology, paricularly in processing advantages, will continue to improve the decorative and utilitarian value of PVC in the autos of the 1980s.
