Computer usage is evolving with the incorporation of microcomputers into large and small businesses as well as the home. This article examines the relationship between the microcomputer, the user and the structure of the industry under the fully dynamic conditions currently existing. It investigates current and future effects as well as the applications it will have on our everyday lives. A brief explanation of the operation and structure of the microcomputer along with costs and future forecasts are discussed. A small glossary of common computer terminology is included.
