This paper reviews the design and development of a 2400 lb. (1088 Kg) capacity articulated loader. It focuses on design concepts to achieve a cost effective quality loader which adapts a multiplicity of attachments, both front and rear. It reveals some new concepts of hydrostatic drives and location of mechanical transmission components which achieve good visibility, weight and balance, and maneuverability.
