Factors that Affect NOx and Particulates in Diesel Engine Exhaust - Part II 920695

It is pointed out in this paper that it is quite difficult to reduce NOx in a DI diesel engine using ordinary hydrocarbon liquid fuel.
Two possible methods might be used to reduce NOx, that is the use of IDI diesel engine. The other method is to use heated nozzle high pressure injection system.
