Weldable Preprimed Steel 940537

In cooperation with supplier of coating materials we have developed a weldable preprimed steel for automotive applications. In this paper we present the performance of the material. Important aspects of this performance are formability, corrosion resistance and spot weldability. Forming the material does not cause delamination of the paint film. The corrosion resistance is as good as a cataphoretic reference panel used in the automotive industry. The spot weldability is superior to a hot dip galvanised reference.
