Internal Combustion Engine Training Using Multimedia 952282

A software using multimedia was developed to facilitate and stimulate the apprenticeship in four stroke, internal combustion engines (Otto cycle). This software not only emphasizes the basic concepts of engines using multimedia, but also allows the visualization and interpretation of animated simulations of the thermodynamic behavior of gasoline and alcohol engines. This way, the results obtained can be easily understood due to the on-line animation of the engine. The level of complexity in this simulation is appropriate for the preliminary studies of engines, in both industrial and university environment. The use of multimedia turned out to reduce costs and also to accelerate the learning process of this subject.
