An Analytical/Empirical Approach to Sound Quality Evaluation for Exhaust Systems 971872
A technique has been developed to modify recorded exhaust noise with a filter generated from the output of an exhaust modeling program. This filter is applied to recorded exhaust noise with commercial sound quality software and allows the user to listen to realistic predicted exhaust noise. Details of the technique are discussed along with a practical example.
