Performance Optimization of Compact Excavator with Closed-Center Hydraulic Circuit 972771

A new series of compact excavators has been developed with enhanced performance to compete against tractor loader backhoes. At the heart of this design is a unique hydraulic circuit that provides the necessary hydraulic pressures and flow rates. This circuit also provides the simultaneous operation of many vehicle functions while minimizing the pump capacity requirements. This feature has been termed multifunction operation. The hydraulic circuit and its development are detailed.
