Form: This specification covers an aluminum alloy in the form of plate 1.000 to 6.000 inch (25.40 to 152.40 mm), inclusive, in nominal thickness (see 8.4). Application: This plate has been used typically for parts requiring a high level of mechanical properties and moderate resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, but usage is not limited to such applications.
