This SAE standard establishes the instrumentation, test site, and test procedure for determining the maximum exterior sound level for snowmobiles. Sound propagation is directly related to the ground cover and provides the largest variation to the measured result. A correction factor is introduced to improve year-round test repeatability of the results on grass surfaces by correcting their spectrum to be similar to snow-covered spectra. Measured sound pressure levels are also highly dependent on the degree of track slip present when performing the vehicle acceleration. Operators should attempt to limit track slip as much as possible while maintaining the requirements described in 5.1.1.

This SAE Aerospace Information Report (AIR) is concerned only with aspects directly relating to available accuracy. While well-designed photoelectric, inductive or capacitive readers and pressure regulators, and other accessories are highly desirable for convenience and production rate, they are considered to be outside the scope of this AIR. This AIR is intended to define three classes of barometers, working, reference and transfer and some aspects of their use so that altimeters and air data transducers calibrated aginst working barometers will be comparable. An accuracy of ±0.003 inch (or ±0.076 mm) Hg should be approachable with working barometers meeting the recommendations in this AIR.

So much progress has been made in this that the limiting factor is, or may soon be, the sensing and transmitting in the aircraft of the pressure to be transduced. Until the appearance of References 1 - 13 and 18 there was little guidance available on the maintenance of pitot and static systems. This report presents what information is available, suggests limits, and lists the principal original papers on the subject. To set forth in a single document the principles and practices for maintenance of pitot and static pressure systems of transport aircraft.

The SAE J2530 provides performance, sampling, test procedures, and marking requirements for wheels intended for normal highway use on passenger cars, light trucks, and multipurpose passenger vehicle. This Recommended Practice (which is separate from SAE J2530) specifies the workflow of the Wheel Conformity Assessment Program. This program allows wheel manufacturers to register their product compliant to SAE J3010. The following items precede display of “SAE J3010” on any particular wheel design:

The Scope of SAE J3062 covers hose intended for containing and circulating lubricant, liquid and gaseous R134a and/or R-1234yf refrigerant in automotive air-conditioning systems. The hose shall be designed to minimize permeation of the refrigerant, contamination of the system, and to be functional over a temperature range of -30 to 125 °C. Specific construction details are to be agreed upon between the user and supplier. Requirements for the hose used in coupled automotive refrigerant air-conditioning assemblies had been included in SAE J2064. SAE J3062 separates requirements for the hose used in these assemblies into its own standard. SAE J2064 also provides the necessary values used in SAE J2727 Mobile Air-Conditioning System Refrigerant Emission charts for R-134a and R-1234yf. Mobile air-conditioning system refrigerant emissions rates are established in SAE J2727 Emission charts and are important.

The Scope of SAE J2064 covers coupled hose assemblies intended for containing and circulating lubricant, liquid and gaseous R134a and/or R-1234yf refrigerant in automotive air-conditioning systems. Historically, requirements for the hose used in coupled automotive refrigerant air conditioning assemblies was included in SAE J2064. SAE J2064 has been changed to establish the requirements for factory and field coupled hose assemblies. SAE J3062 has been issued to define requirements for the hose used in these assemblies into its own standard. SAE J2064 also provides the necessary values used in SAE J2727 Mobile Air Conditioning System Refrigerant Emission charts for R-134a and R-1234yf. The certified coupling of MAC hose assemblies is required in meeting certain regulatory requirements. A hose which has met the requirements of SAE J3062 and certified in J2911 must be used as part of the coupled assembly.
