Basic Composite Repair Technician Certification Standard

2019-09-10
CURRENT
ARP6262A
It is recognized that the structural integrity of repaired composite structures depends upon the capabilities of the individuals who are responsible for performing the repairs. This document is intended to address repairs of composite structure regardless of the type of structure such as marine, wind turbine, automotive, aircraft, or other applications. This certification standard establishes the minimum requirements for training, examining, and certifying composite structure repair personnel. It establishes criteria for the certification of personnel requiring appropriate knowledge of the technical principles underlying the composite structural repairs they perform. Persons certified under this document may be eligible for licensing or certification/ qualification by an appropriate authority, in addition to this industry accepted basic composite repair technician certification.

WIP
J1796
The scope of this SAE performance standard is to define the test method by which the direct solar and visible transmittance of safety glazing materials for road vehicles shall be measured. Adherence to this performance standard will facilitate writing, use and referencing of reports by government, industry and other organizations.

Luminous Reflectance in Safety Glazing Materials for Road Vehicles

2019-09-09
WIP
J2134
The scope of this SAE Performance Standard is to provide a simple, practical, and broadly applicable test procedure for appraising luminous Illuminant A reflectance of reflecting safety glazing materials for road vehicles. This SAE Performance Standard, which provides a simple test procedure widely used in the optics field, may be used to measure the reflectivity which films applied to safety glazing materials for road vehicles may enhance. This test procedure applies to conditions where feasibility, rather than accuracy of measurement, is of prime importance. Measurements can be made outside laboratories in a quality control environment and in similar applications, when glazings, instead of small test specimens, have to be tested.

Hose Assembly, Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Low Pressure, 450°F and Fireproof, Procurement Specification For

2019-08-30
CURRENT
AS4897A
This SAE Aerospace Standard (AS) covers the requirements for polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) hose assemblies for use in aerospace fuel and lubricating oil systems at temperatures between -67 °F and 450 °F and at operating pressures per Table 1. The hose assemblies are also suitable for use within the same temperature and pressure limitations in aerospace pneumatic systems where some gaseous diffusion through the wall of the PTFE liner can be tolerated. The use of these hose assemblies in pneumatic storage systems is not recommended. In addition, installations in which the limits specified herein are exceeded, or in which the application is not covered specifically by this document, for example oxygen, shall be subject to the approval of the purchaser.

Quality Management Systems - Audit Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Organizations

2019-08-21
WIP
AS9101G
This standard defines requirements for the preparation and execution of the audit process. In addition, it defines the content and composition for the audit reporting of conformity and process effectiveness to the 9100-series standards, the organization's QMS documentation, and customer and statutory/regulatory requirements. The requirements in this standard are additions or represent changes to the requirements and guidelines in the standards for conformity assessment, auditing, and certification as published by ISO/IEC (i.e., ISO/IEC 17000, ISO/IEC 17021-1). When there is conflict with these standards, the requirements of the 9101 standard shall take precedence. NOTE 1: In this standard, the term “9100-series standards” comprises the following Aerospace Quality Management System (AQMS) standards: 9100, 9110, and 9120; developed by the IAQG and published by various national standards bodies.
